The total production of the plant´s boric acid is 1,000 tons per month.

The establishment of a plant in the middle of the Andes Mountains Range was the subject of exhaustive study.

Logistics wise, the plant is located at 180 km away from the Ulexite deposits, 210 km from Salta Argentina; and approximately 400 km from Antofagasta´s port Chile.
In this area, it is difficult to provide the production process with the necessary supply of drinking water, electric power, fuel, and gas. In our particular case, a water stream melting from a snow capped Quevar mountain runs through our industrial premises. This stream carries enough water to sprovide our manufacture plant as well as our personnel requirements.The weather is that of continental highlands, harsh, cold, with strong winds; scarce rains (less than 150 mm per year), and snow storms that reach well above 20 cm thick, low atmospheric pressure and high air dryness.
