Manufacturas los Andes S.A. is part of Minera Santa Rita S.R.L. (MSR) group and has been in operation since 2007. It specializes in the production of top-quality Boric Acid for applications in the agricultural, industrial, chemical and pharmacological industries.
Our company has a Boric Acid production capacity of 36.000 tons per year. As we have an integrated manufacturing system of Sulfuric Acid, we can ensure our self-sufficiency.
OUR PRODUCTS
BORIC ACID
Our Boric Acid is a white, crystalline, free-flowing product generally used in ceramics, fiber glass, wood protection, borosilicate glass, cellulose insulation, flame retardants, corrosion inhibitors, and in agriculture as both fertilizer and growth regulator.
AQUABOR 2
Boron is one of seven micronutrients essential to plant growth. For decades Boron deficiency has been recognized in a wide range of crops. This deficiency can be remedied by the correct application of Aquabor 2. Aquabor 2 is produced in a modern spray dryer plant, entirely built in 316L stainless steel which guarantees high purity and no contamination.
BORO 10
Boro 10 is a natural product which contains 10% Boron. It is used as a fertilizer and as growth regulator. Starting from natural Ulexite, this product is granulated through the incorporation of binding agents and other additives which control Boron availability within an adjustable period of time for soil application. What is more, our product also supplements the micronutrients Calcium and Sulfur.
LOCATION AND FACILITIES
The company is strategically located at km 212 on National Route 51, Olacapato, Salta, near to Sico crossing point towards Chile. Positioned near the salars of Puna in Argentina, it operates on its own ulexite deposits which guarantees the main raw material for at least the coming twenty years. Manufacturas Los Andes S.A. plant, which possesses more than 240,000m2 of land, has all the facilities needed to run the company: from an exclusive connection to the pipeline systems, to its own water supplies and electricity generation with 1.5 MW of installed capacity. These number of factors result in the most competitive production costs around the world.
